Bluefaced Leicester

Welcome to Cross Wind Farm! Our farm is located in an agricultural community in the central part of Michigan. We maintain a select flock of white and natural colored Bluefaced Leicester sheep, Angora rabbits, a few guard llamas, and offer a variety of fiber related products at our online store.

Our flock is certified in the SFCP (Scrapie Flock Certification Program) and registered through the Bluefaced Leicester Union. Bluefaced Leicester sheep play a key role in areas of commercial production, meat, and wool.

BFL sires used for cross breeding improve reproductive performances in their progeny…higher lambing percentages, better milk production, and improved lamb vigor. BFL ewes are excellent mothers and good milk producers. BFL wool combines length and luster with a lovely softness. By itself BFL wool is fabulous to work with and provides an excellent foundation when blending with other wool or exotic fibers.
